Music theory and a fire breathing dragon!

Once upon a time a dragon called Derek roamed the land. He was a friendly soul, despite appearances, and couldn’t help the fire that popped out of his mouth. All he really wanted to do was say hello!

In this online music theory game, your mission is to save the castle from burning down. Each round pick a bucket which is either full of water, completely empty, or contains a question. The questions are all musical maths for beginners and include note values of 1, 2, 3 and 4 beats. A wrong answer though, and there is no defence against Derek!

This game is part of a collection of beginner level theory games in the ‘Presto’ Teacher membership level at Learnatune Games. Send your teacher to a desert island (if you know your theory!) in ‘Sailaway Teacher’, figure out ‘Who Stole My Doughnut’, or try and make as many pizzas as possible in ‘Pizza Takeaway’. You could even create your own ‘Superhero’ or take on the cheeky animals in ‘Jungle Photobomb’.

Topics include time signatures, note values, rests, dynamics, musical signs, and general theory at beginner level. There are 14 games to play online and are a fun and engaging way to practice music theory.

The ‘Presto’ Teacher membership gives you access to these beginner games and more. There are over 160 games in this level including note reading, customisable games, fun mystery adventures and more. Try and ‘Beat The Teacher’, fly into space in ‘Galaxy Games’ (and customise the questions), or solve the ‘Mystery of the Blue Raven’ (a grade one music theory detective style adventure).
