Sneaky Sabotage: a beginner piano mystery adventure

PIANO METHOD LEVEL 1

‘Sneaky Sabotage’ is the third book in a fun beginner piano adventure series after ‘Who Stole The Broccoli?‘ and ‘Mystery in Room 13’. Budding detectives are immersed in a mystery designed to engage students and add enjoyment to lessons.

A piano adventure

There has been a crime! The Torpedo Trebles were expected to be crowned champions in the final game of the basketball season. But it all went wrong when their star player, Joe Vivace, was found fast asleep (and snoring!) in a store cupboard, head slumped over a plate of half eaten chocolate cake! Only piano and theory skills will solve the case and reveal who sabotaged the game!

Beginner piano

This story based adventure works well as both a stand-alone method book, or alongside any other piano method series as a supplement to reinforce learning. Ideal from around age 8 upwards, it builds on the first two book in the series, ‘Who Stole The Broccoli‘ and ‘Mystery in Room 13’ focusing on developing reading skills with interval reading (2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5ths), the treble line notes EGB, new note A in the treble space, and playing in different five finger positions around the piano.

The contents

All three books in this series are a unique way to learn piano and make learning engaging right from the first lesson. Budding piano detectives learn tunes in a progressive order of difficulty (with teacher accompaniment) and discover ‘clues’ in the theory puzzles. There are mazes, scramble puzzles, match ups, colouring activities and more.

Teachers find out more

The book is aimed at the beginner learner and level wise is equivalent to the first two thirds or so of a series like Piano Adventures Level One. This series can be used alongside any piano method book as a supplement to learning, and is also ideal as a stand alone method.

Who did it?

Budding piano detectives follow the evidence ruling out suspects one by one as they progress through the book. A QR code leads to the solution to check if they solved the case, and there is a colourful certificate at the back of the book for successful investigators.
