EARLY PRIMER LEVEL
‘Help! I’m a Tomato!’ is book three in a fun beginner piano adventure series. Budding detectives are immersed in a mystery designed to engage students and add fun to lessons.

A piano adventure
One day Frankie, chief mouse of the ‘Mouse Detective Agency’, hears a tap on the door. Peeking out cautiously, he is greeted by a wall of feathers and a large owl called Woody staring back at him. Frankie learns that Woody’s friend, Holly, has been turned into a tomato by a very clumsy wizard called Humphrey (who we met in book one). Only piano and theory skills will solve the mystery and turn Holly back into an owl.
Beginner piano
This story based adventure is the third book in this series (after ‘Who Ate The Apples‘ and ‘Mystery of the Lost Crown‘). It can be used from age 5 or 6 upwards and works well as both a stand-alone method book, or alongside any other piano method series as a supplement to reinforce learning.
The contents
‘Help! I’m a Tomato!’ has many varied activities and builds on skills covered in books one and two. It includes tunes to learn (with teacher accompaniment), ‘clues’ to discover in the theory puzzles, mini composing, listening activities, and even a two player game ideal for student versus teacher. There are mazes, scramble puzzles, match ups, colouring activities and more.
The book is aimed at young beginner learners and is equivalent to the first two thirds or so of Piano Adventures Primer, or part way through book B of My First Piano Adventures. This series can be used alongside any piano method book as a supplement to learning, and is also ideal as a stand alone method.

Find the missing potion ingredient
The story is set in ‘Harmonia Land’, a place where gnomes, fairies, giants, animals, humans, princes and more live together in harmony. Student detectives follow the colourful comic style illustrations as Frankie and friends try to find the missing ingredients of Wizard Humphrey’s owl potion.
Budding piano detectives rule out ingredients one by one as they progress through the book. A QR code leads to the solution to check if they found the crown, and there is a colourful certificate at the back of the book for successful investigators.
