PIANO LEVEL 2A
‘The Time Thief’ is a fun piano and theory ‘guess who’ style adventure book. Budding detectives learn the tunes, find clues in the theory puzzles and rule out the suspects one by one to solve the case.

A piano adventure
Can you catch the rogue agent at the Time Agency before they change history forever?! This cunning thief lurks in the shadows, travelling through time to steal treasured musical objects. Why are they sneaking around in Beethoven’s home in 1824 and what are they looking for in Ancient Egypt?
The piano music
There are eight original tunes to learn including ‘The Fifth Dimension’, ‘Pharaoh’s Groove’, and ‘Cat and Mouse Rock’. Each one comes with an optional teacher accompaniment. Find out more about the level of difficulty below.
The theory puzzles
There are plenty of ‘clues’ to discover in the theory puzzles. Find your way through the ‘Metronome Maze’, figure out Beethoven’s clue and check out the footprints left by the thief. There are mazes, scramble puzzles, match ups, colouring activities and more.
‘The Time Thief’ is aimed at learners who have started moving hand positions and is equivalent to around level 2A to early level 2B of Piano Adventures. It includes music set in several five finger hand positions and each piece has simple moving of hands, the addition of sharps and flats, plus hands together playing.

Finding the thief
Budding piano detectives rule out the suspects or time agents one by one as they progress through the book. A QR code leads to the solution to check if they found the thief, and there is a colourful certificate at the back of the book for successful investigators.
