Music Teacher Options

Add your own students and more

As well as Studio Teacher music packs which are designed for music lessons (and often customisable), teachers have the option of either setting up ‘Teaching Groups‘ (perfect for home practice) or taking out a ‘Studio Licence’ (great for use in lessons) for some of our most popular student packs. Find out more about each option below.

Option 1. ‘Studio Packs’

Ideal for use in music lessons

Studio packs are full of games like ‘Treasure in the Desert’ and ‘Garbage Monsters’ which you can play with your students in lessons. Some packs have customisable activities and colourful leaderboard templates for studio wide challenges and competitions.

“I have been using the resources on Study for Five in my studio for several months now, and my students absolutely love these games! I use them on a daily basis and they’re a fantastic resource for getting children excited about the nuts and bolts of music. I cannot recommend this site highly enough”.

My pupils love ALL your games! (Eg Dragon Wars; the 5 year olds right up to the 13 year olds always ask to play it!!!). As a teacher the drag and drop notes are incredible! I love how I can tailor it to the range of notes a beginner knows, or focus on a particular set of notes that are recent and relevant.

Choose the option best for your studio

Some of the theory challenge Student Packs available in the main shop (such as the games in Notecracker, as well as music mysteries like The Blue Raven), have two options for music teachers. Either set up a ‘Teaching Group’ to add your own students, or take out a ‘Studio Licence’. Find out more below.

Option 2: Setting up ‘Teaching Groups’

Add your own students

A ‘Teaching Group’ is perfect for when you want your students to access the games themselves for home practice. Prices are specially discounted for teachers too!

  • First teachers create a FREE teacher account
  • After setting up the group the teacher adds their students
  • Each student automatically receives their own log-in details
  • The student access the games in the pack to play at home
  • The teacher views a snapshot of any student activity in their own personalised Teacher Dashboard

You can set up a ‘Teaching Group’ around most of the student packs on the website. Alternatively find out more about ‘Studio Licences’ below.

Genuinely thank you so much – particularly during lockdown teaching your games have been such a lifesaver and transformed the lessons. Truly grateful.

Option 3: ‘Studio Licences’

Great for music lessons

Instead of setting up a Teaching Group, some student packs are offered to music teachers with a Studio Licence

  • Great for using with any of the students you currently teach during their music lesson
  • Whilst ‘Teaching Groups’ give the fullest functionality, a Studio Licence is great value and sometimes offers extra resources for the teacher (depending on the pack)
  • A ‘Studio Licence’ doesn’t allow you to track student activity as students play in the lesson rather than at home. But if you would like this facility, check out ‘Teaching Groups’.

“I am terribly impressed with your web-based games and the high-quality graphics that are compelling for the kids.  I have recommended your studio package in some of the piano teacher forums that I am in.”
